“Turas“ - 7 Page Travel Website
I stuck pretty much to the wireframe design for the home page, but also added a bootstrap modal to introduce the website and offer the viewer some background information and a tip to make sure they click on thumbnails to open the larger lightbox versions of the photos. I like the idea of offering user instruction for your page to make sure the user gets the most out of the experience.
For the travel pages, I used flexsliders to showcase a few photos at the top and then incorporated the photos and text throughout the page with either inline thumbnails that opened the lightbox or a thumbnail gallery at the bottom of the page.
One of my main goals for this page was to make it 100% responsive. I’m happy to say I’ve achieved that. All of the photos, sliders and lightboxes are scalable and the main navigation bar collapses to a dropdown menu using media queries when the viewport is resized to below 820px. The slider navigation arrows are also repositioned using media queries to make the site completely responsive and provide a professional layout on any device.
